About Dakshra Fine Arts ( DFA)
Dakshra Fine Arts (DFA) is an academy dedicated to enhance the creativity of individuals through the richness of Indian classical dance and music. Founded by its Artistic Director, Nrityacharya Shrimathi Mohanapriya Govindapillai, this academy provides a conducive learning environment with truly committed teaches to nurture and inspire their students to develop their inherent talent in dance, music and fine arts.
Students at Dakshra Fine Arts range from between 5 and 55 years old, truly reflecting the philosophy that age is never a barrier to learn this ancient art form. All that is required is a genuine interest, passion and determination to learn.
Every year, the Artistic Director and her team at Dakshra Fine Arts would choreograph and produce “Nrityasamarpanam”, which is the academy’s main platform that provides all their students the experience and exposure needed to make significant enhancements in their chosen arts education.
Dakshra Fine Arts takes immense pride and joy in saying that its students are well trained because they undergo grading examinations which is affiliated with Bridge Academy, one of the premier institutions and the best dance and music schools in Tamilnadu.
Besides teaching students to dance and its practical skills, Dakshra Fine Arts also focuses on a holistic approach where students are equipped with the importance of having the theoretical knowledge.
As many art lovers have expressed their love and support towards learning, in the year 2020, Dakshra Fine Arts spread it wings and opened its branches in Puchong and Rawang. Although 2020was quite a tumultuous ride, learning at Dakshra Fine Arts never stopped due to its passionate teachers conducting immaculate online classes without fail.
It was in 2021 that a 2-year dream finally became possible after much deliberations and challenges. On the 18 of December 2021, Dakshra Fine Arts held a management event – the ‘Natyanjali’ – an event that has created history and an event never to be forgotten!
